Observations:

The "Bridge" paintings (the other one being called simply "Ink Wash") explore the interweaving of time and histories. Instead of using Chinese ink to reference traditional Chinese ink washes, ink from digital inkjet is used to produce prints on rice paper on canvas. The complexities of temporal and cultural identity are investigated through the layering inkjet prints, rice paper and canvas.

The digital imagery within "Ink Wash" is that of a bridge printed onto rice paper and further “painted” with only water. This same digital imagery of a bridge is used within "Bridge." Within Bridge, the image is deconstructed to allude to contemporary digital image culture, technology and its unlimited possibilities in reconstructing and forming cultures and identities.
